Spring is knocking

The global climate change has effected the winter season drastically with late arrival of cool weather  and spring. The month of spring starts today with this auspicious day of ' Basant panchami ' which is believed to be first day of spring , although the presence of coolness in the air had derailed the spring arrival. The rise in temperature had envisaged the audacity of early spring blooms in my garden.

Garden Affair : Osteospermum

 Osteospermum is one of the most  hardy spring  perennial flowering plant  which belongs to African Daisy family and looks breathtaking when blooms in profusion. 

                                                               

                                                                 

Growth and Care

African Daisies are easy to grow plants that can survive and grows best in the sunny conditions . These plants can withstand drought like situations up to an extent and still can grow and flourish profusely throughout the spring and early summer.

                                                                    

                                   They are considered perennial plants as they can grow and survive for year or two depending upon the conditions they are retained and protected from the harsh weather conditions.

Welcome Spring

 Spring is one of the most awaited season in the whole year. The aroma of spring can be felt in the air and  garden is filled with exuberant spring colors. This year with moderate winter spring arrived early and Garden is back with colors.

Spring outbreak

 The year of moderate and unprecedented winter is coming to an end as  with spring knocking the door.  The presence of spring can be felt in our atmosphere and some of the pretty spring annuals are coming out to bloom in my garden.

                     Poor man's orchid or Scizanthus is one of the first annual to come up this spring.
