While  Summer  season  bestows us with plethora of fruit varieties in the season ,I personally feel there is one underrated fruit which is delicious and only available for a short span of time in summer, Its phalsa fruit also known as Grewia Asiatica 

A tiny delicious fruit that grows in abundance on a  semi perennial shrub. The fruit has a mix flavor of tangy sweetness. 

                                            

        I had been growing this hardy plant in my garden for years now in my Garden and fortunately it bestows us with harvest in every  summer period .                                

                   Phalsa aka Grewia Asiatica  Is packed with medicinal benefits of   cooling body in summer,controlling and managing digestive disorders,respiratory issues .

Benefits of growing Organic fruits

I consider my self  fortunate to be able to get fresh harvest of many varieties of fruits every year in my garden.While growing your own fruits not only gives us  immense happiness and satisfaction it has numerable health benefits too .

It was thrilling to observe transition of phalsa flower into fruit in my first harvest of Grewia Asiatica plant or popularly known as Phalsa plant .Phalsa is a fruiting shrub grown for its berry alike small fruits that are tangy to sweet in taste .It comes in flowering in spring to early summer season and bear fruits in middle of summer season in our region.

They are easy to grow plants and require not much care ,feed them with home made compost once in a year preferably n winter or before the spring for obtaining good flowering .
