Garden Affair : Jasmine the summer survivor

The Summer is breaking every past record with day  temperature hovering above 45 degree Celsius . The ongoing heat wave has made it difficult to step outside and much alike it is becoming tedious to protect Garden from horrendous heat wave . 

                     While it is becoming impossible with rising temperature to take care of plants in these hot  summer days,  I am glad that Jasmine varieties are continuous blooming in spite of horrendous heat wave and thereby surviving  the worst of summer .

Jasmine plant is a hardy plant that survives drought and up to an extent severe winter and summer . They give more  blooms when hard pruning is given in spring season. This plant can be easily propagated through stem cuttings in spring and rainy season.

Garden Affair : Heatwaves hit the city

 Summer is at its peak the unbearable hot weather is making it grueling to step out in the outdoors. The Garden is also not spared from scorching Summer heat and it is becoming tedious to protect plants from this harsh weather.

The weather forecast for upcoming week is threatening as there is no respite expected  from heat wave  in coming days. There are considerations that I had always applied in harsh summer days to protect plants from any harm from heat wave which are mulching plants, watering sufficiently, creating moisture environment by keeping plants near water plants or artificial water bodies.                                                               

It s surprising to see in spite of  harsh weather Jasmine  varieties are coming up with fresh blooms

Summertime Sunshine

 Summer season is ensuing with temperature hovering around 40 degree Celsius . Summer heat is scorching for the Garden which makes it miserable for plants to survive and flourish. 

While it is unbearable hot the hardy Summer blooming perennials are giving colors to the dry hot summer . 

                Summer Perennials blooms  throughout Summer and blooms lasts  on tree till the end of Monsoon season.

Garden Affair : Amaltas

 Summer season brings dry air which hinders the vegetative growth in the garden . Summer perennials which are hardy survive the scorching heat and bring blooms thereby bringing some colors in the dry and dull garden . 

Cassia Fistula or popularly known as Amaltas is a beautiful perennial tree that blooms in the summer season with its golden yellowish blooms resembling like a golden shower from the sky.

The golden yellow blooms in array make it resemble golden shower is a common tree which can be spotted in  the summer at the streets of city  .

   It is a hardy plant that doesn't require any special care only when grown in pot it can be fertilized once in a while , there have been many medicinal benefits of Amaltas as its has been used from ancient times for skin care and treating gastric related problems.

Garden Affair : Baby Sun Rose

            Baby Sun Rose is a popular houseplant which falls under the succulents. It is creeper trailing succulent plant  that grows alike ground cover . This succulent plant trails like a vine , it comes in to variegated and green variety which is commonly grown  in a  hanging pots and as a ground cover .
