Garden Affair : Happy Independence Day

Its 79th Independence Day , the year when India had encountered multitude of Challenging situations and was able to successfully weather the storm . I am really proud to be born in this country.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY

Garden is basking in  green cover  after prolonged Monsoon rains . Rain Lilies and Portulacas are blooming in profusion in Garden .

Nature finds its way to surprise us when we are not expecting it . Those who do Gardening can relate with the lines  " Its about finding something valuable and delightful when weren't  actively searching for it , and it can bring joy, persona growth and new opportunities. "

I almost forgot about an avocado seed that I planted in a container in summers until it appeared out of nowhere during my Garden cleaning in the form of  full grown  seedling after the magic of             monsoon spell upon it.

The seedling popped out of Seed which I completely forgot after planting in summers.

Garden affair : Portulacas in my Balcony

Its Monsoon season the temperature had dropped significantly and garden is in a gradual process  of revival thereby reappearance of   blooms can be spotted after long summer .

Portulaca or  9'0 clock as it is known popularly blooms profusely after Monsoon downpour . These are drought resistant plants and blooms in profusion of colors  after advent of monsoon season and blooming remains till Autumn.

Growing method and care                                                                    Portulaca  plants are easy to grow as they are drought resistant plants they can withstand extreme weather conditions . They can be easily grown through stem cuttings , there root formation is more quicker than any other flowering perennial and annual.

Happy Independence Day

Its our 78th Independence Day Monsoon has created havoc in my city. Heavy Downpour from last three consecutive days has brought ruckus in my Garden. The blooms especially annuals which were blooming in the last week have withered off after the downpour.

The garden has fewer  blooms right now but silver lining is it has more greenery than last few months.
