Monsoon Effect

Monsoon Downpour has taken a halt the  weather has become moderate and pleasant. The monsoon rains and fall in temperature helps in resurgence of blooms in garden.

I had planted these cypress vines at the end of Summer season and after consistent  downpour of monsoon the vine has covered entire flower bed and with a monsoon break the blooms showed up in beautiful scarlet color.

Although  Vinca Plant is all year bloomer in my Garden its colors somehow pops more after the monsoon downpour.

Rain brings the Rain lilies back  into profusion of blooms.

I await for Tecoma blooms after long summer months

Frangipani is one such perennial that has adapted our climate very well

I saw this beauty first in the morning as I was heading towards my morning walk it was close enough to give me a shot after trying few times with mobile camera I was able to capture it in a still position

                                                                           Peahen resting upon Log

  1. You have some really lovely blooms to enjoy after the monsoons. We just frangipani flowers at our local botanical gardens last week and they are just lovely.

  4. We don't share a lot of flowers but we do share peafowl, Arun! The peacocks and peahens are not native to my part of the world but they have been resident on our peninsula for well over 100 years. They are legally protected in our community.

  7. Hello,
Your flowers are gorgeous. We could use some rain here, not monsoon rains.
The peahen is a pretty bird, great photos.
Thank you for linking up and sharing your critters! Take care, have a great week ahead!

  8. Terrific flowers. I was especially taken by the Cypress Vine. I've grown it here in New Jersey, but clearly, I don't have the extra advantage of that monsoon you speak of in your post, and mine are never as luch and beautiful as yours are in the photo.
