Marigolds are the most commonly cultivated flowers in India. In the diversity of India , Marigold flowers have been brought up in use in mostly every occasion whether it was to adore a grandeur lavish wedding, adding colors to a political meet and most importantly gracing the sacred rituals of numerous festivals.
Marigolds are most easy to grow flowers that can thrive in drought like situations , this is grown after monsoon season till early summer season in my region.
Marigold growing method and care
Marigold is grown through seeds and can also be propagated through stem cutting. It is an easy to grow no fuss plant that required little to no care and can be grown in diverse soil conditions .

My grandmother always planted Marigolds among the tomato plants to repel insects. Not sure it worked as I remember catching many large (hornworm) caterpillars on the vines.
