Autumn delayed this year

The consistent presence of hot and humid climate clearly envisages  expectation of more rains this year.

I am thrilled to see Lycoris lily blooming after more than five years, I guess they are rightly named as Surprise lily too.

  1. Your flowers are thriving so late in the season.

  2. A nice variety of blooms I am familiar with and some (like Oleander) that wouldn't survive when I live. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com

  3. So pretty! I grew up with a lot of oleander, and they are the go-to shrub planting in highway medians where I lived (Northern California). Pretty, but I was always a little bit afraid of them, and only had them in the front yard where kids and pets couldn't chew on them!

  4. I wish I could get Lycoris established in my garden! Best wishes for improved weather, Arun. We've never had much of a humidity problem in my part of the world until now and I must say I'm not happy about it.

  11. Hello,
My word, what beautiful flowers you have in your garden. I was wondering if the Cormorant could in fact be an Anhinga! It's difficult to tell, in that position
    All the best..
