Today is auspicious day of Basant Panchami which embarks the arrival of spring season. Basant panchami is celebrated at the end of winter season and on this day Goddess Saraswati is worshipped who is considered God of knowledge.
While this occasion is official announcement of Spring season the current ongoing winter chills will delay the spring arrival by few days.
It is the time for link up party Garden Affair where you can share posts related to Gardening, Nature and birds. This link up party will remain open for a week starting from Saturday.
It is good to know about the auspicious day of Basant Panchami.

My spring is not here yet. I am anxious to get in the garden.
ReplyDeleteAre there special festivities?
ReplyDeleteSpring, that is the time when the plants come alive! That means lots of beautiful flowers!
ReplyDeleteThe joy of spring is great everywhere. Unfortunately, it will take a little longer for us - March 1st is the meteorological beginning of spring, March 20th is the beginning of spring in the calendar. But here, too, the weather often doesn't stick to the calendar - and unfortunately we don't have such a beautiful goddess here in Central Europe who takes care of the beginning of spring ;-)
ReplyDeleteToday I linked two postings with you - from a trip in our area (nothing is blooming here yet...) and from our autumn vacation in Italy.
All the best from Austria

I did not know about the God of knowledge.
ReplyDeleteSomething new for me. Thank you, Arun!
Happy WW and a fine week!
I encountered the depth of winter by moving in December from Florida to Connecticut (1400 miles/2250km to the north). Now the days are getting noticeably longer and spring migration is in sight.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely picture!

PVC tarps are mostly used as truck covers while the tarps made from polyethylene and polypropylene are used for grain bunker covers and large shelters. These Tarps are available in different sizes and weights which makes them flexible to use in different conditions.
