They do not grow well in wet state ,requires a semi shady environment to flourish .

Spring Stars : Clarkia and Alyssum

Spring Annuals that add fresh fragrance to the garden gives  therapy to the mind . Although many Annuals emit mild fragrance but only few have strong one to attract instantly.

Clarkia unguiculata or better known as Clarkia  planted in mass wafts fragrance in the air .


                                                 

A single flower on the stalk has its own unique beauty ...                                                                        

Snowfall in my city is impossible since temperature does not fall by, but glimpse of  snow could be created by growing Snow carpet better known as Alyssum .                                                            

 Alyssum has its unique flavor of fragrance i.e. of  Honey ,it wafts warm honey in air .

      

Spring is in full swing and so as Spring flowers which are appearing day by day .

Spring Stars : Delphiniums and Linaria

Spring is in the air ...Garden is filled with colors and fragrance ....Although many spring Annuals give purplish background to the spring garden ..But Delphiniums covers the ground in most eye catchy purple view.

             Delphiniums also known as Larkspur stands out at top  amongst  annuals which are planted in collective  to outshine an area of garden .

Linarias are the annuals which self seed themselves every spring giving plethora of colors shining in the air .

Spring Stars : Marguerite and English Daisy

Its always been a pleasant change when winter takes a depart and there is sensuous aroma in the weather outside with prolific buds and blooms with the advent  of spring .

   Although winters were not severe this year that they are used to be , but since season takes it's time for transition  cotyledon took there time to bear flowers .

       This is the first time I have grown  Marguerite daisy in my garden . I bought seedlings of them around three months back , from then till now they have emerged beautifully .


                                                              

They are easy to grow annuals ,does grow better in full sunlight and requires fertilizer feed when reach the budding stage .                                                                                                                     

English Daisy is a miniature daisy which comes in many colors ,but this time they have shown in white only in my garden.                                                                                                                      

                                                                                                

                     

They grow vigorously and does not require much effort to grow them.                                          

There are many spring annuals emerging day by day which will be brought here in next post.

Whimsical day with chrysanthemums

The present garden is filled with national flower of Japan with there massive eye pleasing blooms,since spring seems far we have cotyleodan of annuals all through the garden.
So here's a glance at my chrysanthemums this year since summer stretched too long the chrysanthemums blooms were postponed..

many chrysanthemums are in bud state due to delayed winter ...have tried growing Pineapple  with its fruit cutting ...which I'll talk in a later post .
