Garden Affair : Tulip festival

 I was fortunate enough to visit Tulip festival organized by New Delhi Municipal council during my recent visit to New Delhi .

Delhi Tulip festival  which is organized in spring time is a vibrant celebration of Spring when more than 3 lakh tulip bulbs blooms  in the Delhi . This annual spring event attracts visitors from around the world. 

                                                                  

               I was spellbound with the collection of  Tulip varieties  planted in flower beds in arrays

Garden Affair : Bougainvilleas in Springtime garden

       Bougainvilleas remain dormant throughout the winter and first blossom break out in late spring. The blooms will remain till the end of Autumn.

Garden Affair : Nemesia

 In these last days of spring I want to talk about this spring annual Nemesia which comes up in multiple color variants and instantly grabs attention due to the unique shape of flowers. Nemesia blooms comes in bunches and stays fresh for many days .

Nemesia plant is a hardy plant that strives best in cool climate with partial shade environment . It can best be grown with seeds and can survive drought conditions for a specific period .

How and when to feed Nemesia plants

Nemesia plants require liquid organic fertilizer every fortnight for continuous blooming , It is better to do deadheading weekly which promotes growth of plant and helps in more blooms.

Garden Affair : Stunning Statice Flowers

 The spring is in full swing and the garden is currently filled with riot of colors and many more new blooms are awaiting for their turn to bloom in spring. While the weather is usually  pleasant this time of year the unexpected increase in temperature is indicating towards the global warming .

This year my garden was introduced with new Spring  Annual that has most uniquely shaped pretty blooms. Statice or Sea lavender are one the most unique flowers I have ever grown as a spring annual before in my garden.

                                                   

How to grow Statice and care                                                                                                        

Statice are easy to grow plants and can withstand drought like conditions . They are easy to grow plants and only require organic fertilizer feed once in every month and are popularly used as cut flowers.

Welcome Spring

 Spring is one of the most awaited season in the whole year. The aroma of spring can be felt in the air and  garden is filled with exuberant spring colors. This year with moderate winter spring arrived early and Garden is back with colors.
