Seeds Germination techniques

 This is my own experience in seeds germination that involves majorly three techniques that have worked for me most of the times with failing only once in a while  for Flowering and Vegetable seeds generally.

Here I have grown Baby corn seeds by two techniques ;

    Seeds dispersed on potting soil and then covered with   light soil mixture;

                                      Seeds wrapped within Moist tissue paper until germinates ;

There is another method for growing  seeds that have hard layer by soaking them for a night in water and then sowing them in soil mixture in the morning .

While all of these techniques work successfully it would be advisable to grow small seeds directly in the soil mixture as there is no need for soaking them in water for germination.

I will add updates about the germination of the above Corn Seeds in the upcoming weeks.

Jaunty atmosphere in garden

From past few days weather has been breezy and foggy with a spell of rain in day and night.Monsoon in our city particularly has been persistent even with few rains and according to weather department it will be for few days more.It is boon for plants since there is enough humidity in atmosphere favorable for plants growth.

Some of the perennials are leaving there dormancy after summer to bring themself to bloom .

Lovely Autumn

After a long hit and miss monsoon weather ,we can feel the breeze of autumn in our place.Garden is filled with riot of colors .

Plumeria pudica or Wild plumeria is a longtime blomming with cheerful white flowers emerging from spoon shaped leaves

Vinca has been native plant in our environment for its heat bearing capacity. This dark vinca is hybrid specie .

Another drought tolerant plant ,perfect for our atmostphere Jatropha plant twinkles bright in sunshine.

Dwarf Dahlia blooming is indication of  advent of Autumn

 Hibiscus ,the Hawaiin  variety are becoming my favourites for the blooms that are spectacular

It has been good favorable weather for Tithonia  for long summer days have supplied constant blooms

Butterfly Pea has adopted my garden very well and given many more plants probably due to easy dispersion of seeds freely

When we talk about self seeders, Four o clock grows like a weed  in garden and I have no heart to pluck them off  due to there easy no care growing capability, of course beautiful blooms

Dianthus starts blooming with fall in temperature.

Gaillardias are garden friends for my region ,they thrive through long summer and blooms in winter too.

Since autumn is best time to prepare your garden for spring blooms and winter vegetables ,its time to start sowing seeds of flowers and vegetables. In the next post I ll try to discuss easy germination of winter flower seeds .
