Drizzle weather

The weather right now is foggy, its drizzling . The concurrent rains from last week had lead to drop in temperature with absence of sunlight it has been challenging to peep out in the Garden .

The wait for spring seems longer as weather forecast doesn't  augur to see weather condition improving till next fortnight. Meanwhile the dreariness in garden is broken off with the presence of  blooms of Tagetes lunulata .

                                          Tagetes (red marigold )

The consistent blooms on Coral Jasmine and Bauhinia Purpurea from last month is a candy for my eyes daily

The last few days  for chrysanthemum blooms

It was pleasure to spot Rufous treepie frolicking around in my garden

I spotted it first perching on my plumeria tree

It kept on flying and perching from one to another tree

Finally it came close to pose for a macro shot

Countdown to Winter

The days are getting colder with every passing day as temperature at day time  has dropped to mid of 70s Fahrenheit which is quite cold for this time of year in our region. The reason could be due to unexpected hailstorm in my city  that happened in last week and fresh snowfall going on  in the hilly areas. While my winter garden preparation is going with full swing here are some blooms and developments that were observed after a walk in to the garden.

Spider lilies are in full bloom with a heady scent after their leaves were thinned and pruned after attack of worms.

It was a surprise to spot Rain Lily blooming at this time of year

The last show of Hibiscus blooms until freezing winter sets in the garden

Meanwhile a Rufous treepie was spotted in the garden

And a wonderful morning sky with Clouds, sun and birds ( can you spot the sun )

Spectacular Water Hyacinth Blooms

This week started on a thrilling note as it was the first time my Water hyacinth plant bloomed in my garden .I must say it is one of the most rewarding blooms as an aquatic plant beside water lilies.

The unique appearance of these flowers has  only one petal which has feather like mark imprinted  on it among all other petals  as you can see in the picture below

Although this flower does not much resemble to the blooms of Hyacinth grown through bulbs but both have some resemblance in their buds

When sometimes  Mobile camera captures a breathtaking moment
