It is the beginning of summer period and almost spring blooms have withered off . It was a good year for spring bulbs which I had grown in a variety for spring show. It was my good fortune that most of them had actually bloomed in springtime garden .

There is a weather prediction for long rain and hail storm spell for the upcoming week. While the winter period had been uncertain for this season the cold waves and upcoming winter Rains will definitely aggravate winter for this season.
While the winter season do make the garden lull the blooms of Asiatic lily are adding some colors to the garden
The winter season had been quite unpredictable so far with late start of winter season to extreme chilly weather persistent for weeks and if weather forecast is to be believed the cold waves will be continuing for more weeks.
While plants in my garden are seeing dormancy still some of the chrysanthemums are still blooming
Our region sees a surge in visit of migratory birds during winter months.

Meanwhile cold condition has been prevalent in my city with temperature hovering around 50-60 f .The silver lining is Asiatic Lily flower is all set to bloom in the next few days.
Asiatic Lily Buds
The wait is over for the most sought after awaited Lily blooms every year .Asiatic Lilies are one of the most stunning Lilies that bloom in our region days before the spring outbreak. Although it is surprising to experience harsh winters this year still somehow Asiatic Lilies have managed to bloom at the time when Garden is devoid of blooms due to winters.
These lily are grown through bulbs which takes almost two months to come to blooms and blooms remain intact for a week or 10 days. They prefer sunny bright light conditions for growth and blooming .They need fertilization at the time of bud formation and did not prefer over watering conditions.
I have also grown Oriental lily bulbs which are still not in to the blooming stage.

It is the time for winter season to set in the upcoming days. It will be seen within few days that cold weather will persist for few months until spring breaks bringing riot of colors with blossoms and blooms. It is the perfect time to sow winter Flower bulbs for spring blooms.
It is advisable in our region to sow Flower bulbs for winter season in October and November for bloom in spring in the upcoming year.

Ranunculus are one of the most rewarding blooms that can be easily grown through bulbs and seedlings .These claw shaped bulbs should be sown in disinfectant water which can be prepared by mixing any fungicide powder in the water .

Anemone are one of the most attractive flower bulbs which can be grown for spring blooms.They can be grown easily with only concern about watering up to a certain level.
