Garden Affair : Winter Days and Garden

Winter has been unpredictable this year with very warm December  and contradictory January starting on a note with hard hitting cold wave . Now when we are into the second fortnight of January temperature has risen and few of the early spring annuals are already showing up blooms. The talks regarding Global warming seems becoming reality.

I would had never expected Schzianthus blooming in January

Petunias are already in full  bloom in January this year

Snapdragons blooming in January is surprising

If the present  weather  condition will persist Spring  season seems to be coming early this year.
On that note This is the time for link up party Garden Affair where you can share posts regarding Gardening, Nature and birds. The link up party will be open for a week.

  5. Nice! Our weather has been erratic, but it is definitely warmer than it used to be overall. I’ve lived in Virginia my entire life and I’ve seen the weather change.

  7. Oh yes, dear Arun, climate change is a reality – even if it doesn't always manifest as warmth. Here, it's finally as cold as it was in winters 10 years ago, and we even had snow (as you saw in my previous post) – but the weather has become more unpredictable everywhere, and storms are becoming more frequent. I think we have to live with that now and try to make the best of it – for example, enjoying the fact that (at least where you are) there are already these beautiful blossoms to see. I don't have any flowers, but you'll see plenty of nature and birds in my Canada travelogue 🐦
    All the best ❄️☃️, Traude
