Cold month

The winter season  had been quite unpredictable so far  with late start of winter season to extreme chilly weather persistent for weeks and if weather forecast is to be believed the cold waves will be continuing for more weeks.

While plants in my garden are  seeing dormancy still  some of the chrysanthemums are still blooming

And  I am glad to see Asiatic Lily blooming

And a Viola finally unfurled its petals.

Our region sees a surge in visit of migratory birds during winter months.

American Coots spotted by the lakeside of Mansagar .

                                            New year and new Beginning

  3. It is so nice to see Asiatic Lily blooming in January. We are in full winter mode here with temperatures in the 30’s today, but the Hellebores are blooming away!

  5. Chrysanthemums and lilies at the same time! I can't grow the first and the second probably won't make an appearance here until May or later. It's interesting to see that coots migrate through your part of the world too - I haven't seen any here since my college days in Santa Barbara.
