Heat is worsening every passing day ,wait for monsoon rains to drench away the heat is taking too long .Temperatures are hovering around 42 to 45 degree c which makes it impossible to step out in daytime.THere seems to be no sign of relief from heatwave since weather department does not show any sign of pre monsoon rains to reach our region in coming days.
Where it was getting difficult to protect plants from heatwave conditions thereby to sustain till the advent of monsoon, monkey maul into the garden made situation even more worse than it was already due to weather. They not only spoil the blooms but uproot the plants which decrease there chances to survive even after replanting.
Blooms that survived heat waves and monkey maul were few so here'smy blooms which were blooming in the span of last ten days
Miniature Rose
Ixora pretty blooms
Portulaca blooms
Miniature Peach colored Amarylis
White Bougainvillea blooms
Crinum Lily Blooms
Portulaca blooms
White Bougainvillea blooms
May the weather god bring relief in upcoming days with early arrival of Monsoon rains .

Beautiful flowers. White bougainvillea! I've not seen that in person before. We have pink and purple growing around us. We're going through a heatwave, too, in our neck of California. We'll get relief when the fog rolls into Monterey bay which is over a low mountain ridge from us. Cheers to you.
ReplyDeleteDespite the heat, your flowers are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteyuck - 110F. give or take
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. We have been having a heatwave, too hot!

That is incredibly hot weather! We rarely get over 38C (100F)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blooms! I especially like the Lilies.
I bought Portulaca plants at the garden center a few days ago, but they are not blooming yet.
Happy Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day!
Here's hoping you get relief from the oppressive heat soon. I do love that Rangoon creeper. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteWow, what terrible heat. I lived for almost a year in a part of Texas where it got to around 40 almost every day in the summer (104 F in our system) and I can't imagine it much hotter than that. Seeing crinium lilies was wonderful - they are not hardy where I live. I haven't seen white bougainvillea (it's common in our state of Florida) and it is beautiful. Yes, I wish I could send you some of our rain and coolness. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about the monkeys, heat, and no rain. You still managed to have some pretty blooms though.
ReplyDeleteI hope the weather god comes through for you! 42-45C is hard to contemplate. As to the monkeys, it sounds as though they behave a lot like the nasty raccoons here. I wish I had a solution to suggest but, sadly, critters can be uncontrollable. The new-to-me Rangoon creeper is beautiful, however, and I'm impressed by Crinum lily too.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness that's hot. We used to get days like that in Sydney & it felt as though a wall of heat was coming at you. Those flowers are a jolt of fabulous colour though. Thanks for linking up with #teamlovinlife
ReplyDeleteWow...that's unbearable heat! Your blooms are still beautiful and I especially love the Ixora and Crinum Lily blooms!
