Vaastu shastra aka Vaastu is a set of principles based on ancient Indian texts which is applied in architecture of premises with respect to design, layout and measurement of respective premises. It is believed when vaastu is applied in home architecture it facilitate good health, wealth and happiness in our lives.
It has been mentioned in Vaastu scriptures about good effects of keeping some of these following plants in premises that promote good well being, good health and prosperity in our life :
Pothos or Money plant
Peace lily
Lavender
Jasmine

My mother always kept Pothos and Peace Lily, but I knew them as (variegated) "Ivy" and "Closet Plant." She also loved Lavender, so we were unknowingly benefiting from Vaastu. No wonder I had such a happy childhood!
