Groundcover plants are usually helpful in preventing soil erosion and drought like conditions. It happens  often with us when we  have a spare space in backyard garden where no vegetation is possible due to one of the many reasons like lack of sunlight, poor soil or uneven ground .

  1. Interesting information about ground covers. They can add so much to the landscape. We have quite a bit of low-growing juniper which pretty well shades out most weeds.
