Garden Affair : Independence Day

Today is our 80th Independence Day , true independence is freedom to speech which has been a topic of discussion   in our country after younger generation marched a protest against the Government recently . Independence has its own definition for everyone subjectively.

Monsoon is active in my region the concurrent rains had turned the  garden into green carpet.

Monsoon brings back the blooms in portulaca plants .

  3. Dear Arun,
how apt: "true independence is freedom to speech." Unfortunately, freedom of expression is currently endangered or already restricted in many countries, and so is independence from authorities – this worries me and certainly many others worldwide.

How wonderful that the monsoon has brought your plants back to life and beauty. I'm also hoping for some decent rain here – today it only drizzled a few drops, the streams have already dried up, and the rivers are getting drier every day...
All the best from Austria 🤗

  4. Happy independence to you. It seems funny that it's only 80 years (said in a country that is still technically a colony...can you beleive it? 25 years ago we voted to stay, Even the Queen of England was surprised. She'd only rehearsed the farewell speech! Or so it's rumoured.)
