The winter weather which started post December this year brought days of fog , chilling winds and drop in temperatures to single syllable in the first two weeks of January. While winter is not harsh this year comparatively the persistent cold wave had brought chills to the core in body.
Now as we are at the end of first fortnight of the year Garden is seeing some growth with blooms mostly on perennials or annuals that were blooming from December . The spring annuals had been stagnated from December .
Marigolds have well adapted winter in my region
Bauhinia blooms are at their prime in January
The chrysanthemums blooms will start wilting in upcoming weeks
During my a day trip on the outskirts of city one of this Common Stilt was spotted perching upon water lands.

Beautiful, friend! Aloha!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, especially the mum. Its portrait is fantastic. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteDespite your cold spell, your garden is displaying some nice color, Arun. I love the Chrysanthemums, which I have a hard time growing in my climate.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing at https://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2026/01/totally-tommy.html. As an American, I am deeply ashamed of Donald Trump. We have a tiger by the tale... a tiger with rabies, it would seem.
ReplyDeleteOh, love seeing the growing flowers as we are in sort of a deep freeze here in Ohio now. Love the colors, so pretty. The Bauhinia, I've never heard of but love the purple color, and the hibiscus, always red is so brilliant. Thanks for visiting me at Pictorial Tuesday. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThat cranberry hibiscus is so pretty! We don't have any flowers of any kind this time of year.
