Jasmine plant care and propagation

Jasmine plant is a star attraction of summer garden. While every other plant somehow thrives through the scorching summer period the Jasmine blooms profusely and spread its fragrance in the garden.

Care

Jasmine plant is a very hardy plant that thrives through extreme weather conditions and are mostly  drought resistant that makes them favorable plant in temperate region. They can be pruned once or twice in a year specifically in spring season that aggravates blooms on Jasmine plant.

                                                             Stem propagation of Jasmine

Propagation of Jasmine plant

Jasmine plant can be propagated easily through stem cutting taken from a branch of semi soft stem of jasmine cutting. The cutting can be planted in a mix of well drained soil mix and can be              transplanted until roots are developed maturely.

  2. Oh I love Jasmine! I wish I could grow it in my neck of the woods. The smell is intoxicating. I've added a post to the link up of my tour of a Governor's Palace in Virginia because they have so many incredible gardens, including an evergreen maze.
